Unlike in some Hollywood movies, it takes some time for all the air to blow out of a hole. For a hole that's one in square, and a compartment that starts at one atmosphere of pressure, and a compartment the size of a 20-foot cargo container, then it takes over half an hour to drop to 80% of normal pressure. I'm pleasantly amused that a bubble-blower can be an essential part of a science-fiction repair kit.
